Where Are Our Sundays

So the chorus section is three bars of 5/4 and one bar of 15/8, because reasons.  Honestly, it doesn’t really sound very technical, but it was just the feel that I needed so there it is.  Otherwise, I think it’s a pretty nice song.

Sinking into what I could not do  or
Overcome with a gun and all of the news
Listening to you brought me into the truth
But I could not understand why to take what I could not use.
B:  Even in this you say we’re all in the rift…
You play games with your head and pass it on through
Even if you offered all of your gifts…
It would still be pretty, difficult, and unusual
C: repeats 2x before lyrics…
Where are our sundays,  tangled weeks we contemplate
Spilling on over and separate, always hungover and intimate
Sarah’s eyes are getting restless, sees what bleeds and forgets
Raises her palm against the moment, the instant she does she enters the set…
A:
And sings her part in our direction…
projecting her voice to the back of the house…
I brought you here to end this stand off…
but she stops us when she opens her mouth…
(double timeish)
[rest]   I remember being along, I remember your smile
goofy and half cocked, always worthwhile
you were my god but I’ve begun to forget…
[interlude] you were my love but you insisted on this…
B:  even in this you say we’re all in the rift…
you play games with your head and pass it on through
even if you offered all of your gifts
It would still be pretty, difficult, and unusual…
C: repeats lyrics…
then first two lines of first “A” to end.
