The Sky is Falling

skyisfalling

A piece of  my past, summer romance.

Back when we were civilized and confidants and held our heads up high
we joked about coming to a time like thisyou would kiss my mouth on fully, bite my lip and play the bully
pulling at my nerves with your teeth and your lips wrapped tight.
The sky is falling and you are calling
me a liar, but look up darling, see the
fire and I am walking away from you…Back when we were 14 and 18, respectively, you wrinkled your
brown eyes inviting me, like candy and dreamsWating life, we stayed a while, pillow fought and weighed our promises
suspecting that part of this wouldn’t last forever

chorus

bridge:

Something in the feather bed / emerget and a little desperate
swirling in our own lost heads, I’m fucking with your confidence

You dropped your head upon my pillow, we lost the moment but you were brilliant
sucking on my earlobe like you would pull a pearl from it

your father said he didn’t like me, I was tough and ready to fight him,
but he was drunk so we caught a movie, I swore I’d take you away from all of this

I don’t even still have your number, I understand it was just a summer
I am not getting older in these colder days I feel even younger…

Chorus
