When you walk out, but don’t totally want to go.  The structure of this one is pretty complete, but the performance has some holes especially the change over from the first section into the second.  Some Juno in the pads various soft-synths here and there.  It starts off at its most dissonant and resolves from there.

Someone Else’s Car

Some of the best times to be had are in cars.  Especially growing up in the woods where I did, a movie date was a 30 minute trip each way, and the back and forth, and the traveling I did for girls when I was young, the road means a lot to me.

Long Face

I don’t know why, but this is one of my favorite of my slow songs.  It has simplicity and complexity in the harmony, and achieves what I wanted to in the lyrics.  The demo itself is a little rough, the time is off on some chunks, and the piano lines don’t line up as tightly as they should.  Still, a song I’d love to see go somewhere.

Where Are Our Sundays

So the chorus section is three bars of 5/4 and one bar of 15/8, because reasons.  Honestly, it doesn’t really sound very technical, but it was just the feel that I needed so there it is.  Otherwise, I think it’s a pretty nice song.  

Sayana

That time I had a fling with the queen of the faeries (as you do).  It’s a nostalgic song that plays with the idea of trying to know her name, and whether that would shift the power balance in the relationship.

The End is Not so Near

Not really sure how I feel about this one.  It has some moments, but I don’t know if it ever really gets to where it’s going.  This could do with a re imagining.

This is a song about romance, the memory of a kiss hours after the moment’s gone.  Just like the picture.

Walking By

Fun with orchestral synths.  Understanding the humor in my own personal mythology and how serious the feels can be sometimes.

Ingrid

a through-composed electronic song that  sort of goes all over the place.  There’s arppegiators and strings, and orchestral momentum and noodly organ solos.  Still, it’s kind of fun.

Later that morning Ingrid tripped,
